Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-03

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Bonkiv, a platform that helps Canadian businesses in Quebec and Ontario find circular-economy partners — businesses that can buy, sell, or exchange materials, waste streams, and services with each other. By creating an account or using Bonkiv, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use Bonkiv

Bonkiv is built for real, registered businesses operating in Canada. By claiming a business listing, you're confirming that you're authorized to represent that business, and that the information you provide to verify your claim (legal name, registry number, industry classification) is accurate.

We currently cover businesses registered in Quebec and Ontario. We may expand to other provinces over time.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us right away.

You can unclaim a business listing at any time from that business's profile page, which removes your ownership of it. Anyone can claim it again afterward, including you.

3. What Bonkiv does — and doesn’t do

Bonkiv helps you find and communicate with other businesses. It does not broker, guarantee, insure, or become a party to any deal, contract, or transaction between businesses that meet through the platform. Any agreement you reach with another business — pricing, quality, delivery, payment, liability — is between you and that business, not with Bonkiv.

Our AI-suggested matches (including reasons, scores, and "circular loop" explanations) are generated automatically from public registry data and your own descriptions, using a third-party AI model. They're meant as a starting point for your own research and outreach, not a professional recommendation, and we don't guarantee their accuracy or that any suggested partnership will work out.

Business information shown on Bonkiv — names, addresses, industry codes — is sourced primarily from public government registries (such as Quebec's Registre des entreprises and Statistics Canada data). We do our best to keep it accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee it's error-free, and a business's own claimed corrections take priority where they've made them.

4. Acceptable use

When using Bonkiv, you agree not to:

• Claim a business you're not authorized to represent, or misrepresent who you are • Use the platform to scrape, resell, or bulk-export data outside of normal use • Send spam, harassment, or fraudulent messages to other businesses • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the platform's normal operation • Use Bonkiv for anything illegal, or to facilitate a transaction you know to be fraudulent

We may suspend or remove an account or listing that violates these terms, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe it's necessary to protect the platform or other users.

5. Content you provide

You own the content you post — opportunity listings, messages, notes, reviews. By posting it, you give Bonkiv permission to store, display, and process it as needed to operate the service (for example, showing your opportunity listing to other businesses, or running it through our AI matching).

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, or anything false, defamatory, or infringing.

6. Fees

Bonkiv is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, we'll tell you clearly before any charge applies to your account, and using free features won't require payment.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Bonkiv is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any match, introduction, or listing will lead to a successful business relationship.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bonkiv and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, or from any transaction or dispute between you and another business you connected with through Bonkiv. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't legally be limited under applicable Quebec or Canadian law.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the "last updated" date below and, where practical, let you know. Continuing to use Bonkiv after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
